Usage

Symmetrize volumes and images

Parameters

-i, --input <input_file>
Input file: metadata, stack, volume or image.
--mode <mode=overwrite>
Metadata writing mode.
where <mode> can be:
  • overwrite Replace the content of the file with the Metadata
  • append Write the Metadata as a new block, removing the old one
--label <image_label=image>
Label to be used to read/write images.
-o, --output <output_file=>
Output file: metadata, stack, volume or image.
--oroot <root=>
Rootname of output individual images. Output image format can be set adding extension after rootname as ":ext".
--sym <symmetry>
For 2D images: a number For 3D volumes: a symmetry file or point-group description Valid point-group descriptions are: C1, Ci, Cs, Cn (from here on n must be an integer number with no more than 2 digits) Cnv, Cnh, Sn, Dn, Dnv, Dnh, T, Td, Th, O, Oh I, I1, I2, I3, I4, I5, Ih For a full description of symmetries look at http://xmipp.cnb.csic.es/twiki/bin/view/Xmipp/Symmetry
--no_group
For 3D volumes: do not generate symmetry subgroup
--dont_wrap
by default, the image/volume is wrapped

Examples and notes

Symmetrize a list of images with 6 fold symmetry
   xmipp_symmetrize -i input.sel --sym 6
Symmetrize with i3 symmetry and the volume is not wrapped
   xmipp_symmetrize -i input.vol --sym i3 --dont_wrap
